When dangerous weather threatens Belgium (thunderstorms, gusts, heavy rain, snow, black ice, dense fog or a heatwave), Météo Belge issues its own weather warnings, town by town, at three levels: yellow (be aware), orange (be very careful) and red (real danger). Every warning is written and calibrated by our forecaster, with the exact area, the time period and a comment that explains clearly what to expect.
The interactive map colours the country's 565 municipalities in real time: zoom in, search for your town or village, tap the map to read the details. You can also turn on the free email alert: as soon as a warning is issued for your town, you are among the first to know. A serious weather site does not just show colours: it tells you what to do, when and where.
