Terms and conditions of sale

What you buy, at what price, how you pay, when you receive it, and how you can change your mind. These terms apply to every order placed on the website or in the app.

Last updated: 12 September 2026

The seller

Sales made on www.meteobelge.be and in the Météo Belge app are concluded with:

Michaël Vincent
Charleroi, Belgium
Company number (CBE): 0684.572.253
Email: contact@meteobelge.be
Payments are collected under the trading name NovaPress Group. It is therefore "NovaPress Group" that will appear on your bank statement, not "Météo Belge".

What we sell

Four categories, which do not follow quite the same rules. The rest of this page says which rules apply each time.

Digital subscriptions
Daily Weather (your detailed weather by email), the ad-free subscription, and support for Météo Belge. Each is available monthly, yearly and, for some, for life.
Weather certificates
A document certifying the weather conditions observed at a specific date and place, intended for your insurer. It is a made-to-measure service, produced at your request.
Shop
Very real items: mugs, pens, calendar, diary and umbrella. They are sent by post.
WeatherPoints gifts
They cannot be bought: they are exchanged for points earned by using the service. A section further down is devoted to them.

Prices

Prices are shown in euros, all taxes included, on the product page. The price that applies is the one displayed when you confirm the order. Any delivery costs are calculated and shown before payment, never afterwards.

VAT is not applicable: the seller benefits from the small business exemption scheme (Article 56bis of the Belgian VAT Code). Invoices state this explicitly.

We may change our prices at any time, but never for an order already placed, nor for the period already paid of a current subscription.

Ordering

You choose your product, check the summary and pay: the order is binding at that moment. A confirmation email is sent straight away, with the details and, for any paid purchase, the invoice as a PDF.

If you receive nothing, check your spam folder, then write to us: we will resend the confirmation and the invoice free of charge.

We may refuse or cancel an order where there is a serious suspicion of fraud, a previous unpaid order, or a clearly abnormal order. In that case, any amount received is refunded.

Payment

Payment is made by bank card, via our payment provider Stripe. Your card details are entered on Stripe's side: they do not pass through our servers and we never keep the card number.

For some products, bank transfer is offered. The order is then registered but only processed once the funds are received. Include the requested payment reference, otherwise we cannot match your payment to your order.

Delivery

Subscriptions
They take effect immediately: ads disappear as soon as you pay, and Daily Weather goes out with the next mailing at the time you have chosen.
Certificates
The document is written and then sent by email, as a PDF, within 24 to 48 hours of payment. For an incident more than three months old, we first reply with a free quote.
Parcels
Shipped by bpost, in Belgium and in Europe. Indicative delivery times and costs, including the thresholds for free delivery, are shown in the shop before payment. A parcel reported lost by the carrier is sent again or refunded.
A late delivery does not entitle you to automatic cancellation of the order. If a parcel is more than thirty days late, write to us: we will cancel and refund.

Right of withdrawal

You have fourteen days to change your mind, without having to give a reason. This period runs from receipt of the parcel for goods, or from conclusion of the contract for a service.

To exercise this right, an email to contact@meteobelge.be is enough: simply tell us that you are withdrawing, with your order number. We refund all amounts received, including standard delivery costs, within fourteen days of your request, using the same means of payment.

The goods must be sent back to us within the following fourteen days, in a condition that allows them to be resold. Return costs are your responsibility.

The law provides for three situations in which this right does not apply:

Subscriptions, renewal and cancellation

A monthly or yearly subscription is renewed automatically when it expires, for the same length of time, at the current rate. This avoids the service being cut off unexpectedly.

You can cancel at any time from your account, or with a simple email. Cancelling stops the renewal: you keep the service until the end of the period already paid, and nothing further is charged. No pro rata refund is due for the period already begun, except when exercising the right of withdrawal described above.

A lifetime plan is paid once and is valid with no time limit, for as long as the service exists. It is tied to your account and cannot be transferred.

WeatherPoints and gifts

The WeatherPoints programme is free and optional. Points are earned by using the service and have no monetary value: they cannot be bought, resold, transferred between accounts or exchanged for money.

Purchases made on the website also earn WeatherPoints: the shop, the ad-free subscription, Daily Weather, support and the weather certificate. They are credited as soon as the card payment is confirmed, or as soon as a bank transfer is validated.

Full details of the programme, rankings and points scales are on the WeatherPoints page.

Guarantees

Goods sold benefit from the two-year legal guarantee of conformity provided for by Belgian law. A product that arrives broken, incomplete or not as described is replaced or refunded: send us a photo within fourteen days of receipt, which is enough to open a claim.

For digital services, we guarantee a service that matches its description. A lasting interruption caused by us entitles you to an equivalent extension of your subscription.

Liability

Our forecasts, warnings and data are provided for information purposes. A weather certificate attests to the meteorological data observed or modelled: it in no way prejudges the decision of your insurer, who alone decides on compensation.

In the event of a proven failure on our part, our liability is limited to the amount of the order concerned. Nothing in these terms limits the rights granted to consumers by law.

Your data

The information collected to process an order is used to process it, to issue the invoice and to meet our accounting obligations. Full details, including retention periods and how to exercise your rights, are set out in the privacy policy.

Complaints and mediation

If something goes wrong, write to us first: contact@meteobelge.be. We reply quickly, and most situations are resolved in two messages.

If we cannot sort it out, you can refer the matter free of charge to the Consumer Mediation Service (Service de Médiation pour le Consommateur), Boulevard du Roi Albert II 8 box 1, 1000 Brussels, mediationconsommateur.be.

Applicable law

These terms are governed by Belgian law. The courts of the judicial district of Hainaut, Charleroi division, have jurisdiction, it being understood that consumers retain the right to bring proceedings before the court of their place of residence.

Should any clause of these terms be held invalid, the others remain fully applicable.

See also the privacy policy and the legal notice. A question before you order? The contact form is there for that.
