📅 What's next? Sunshine and cold until Friday

Thursday 5 November: bright sunshine, ground frost in the valleys

You'd enjoy bright sunshine from morning to evening, in calmer conditions (easterly wind, gusts of 25 to 35 km/h). Ground frost would cover the meadows at the bottom of the southern valleys, and a few patches of fog might linger in early morning between Walloon Brabant and Hainaut. Lows of -2 to 4°C, highs of 8 to 10°C.

Friday 6 November: light frost, fog then sunshine

After a clear and calm night, light frost would affect the Sambre-and-Meuse valley and the Famenne, more pronounced in the Ardennes valleys. In lower-lying areas, a few patches of fog might be slow to lift before the sun returns, with some cloud in the west. Lows of -3 to 4°C, highs of 9 to 11°C.

Saturday 7 November: a change of scene

Extensive fog is expected to form in the lowlands at daybreak, followed by a cloudier day, but normally dry. Lows of 0 to 4°C, highs of 8 to 10°C.

Friday 6🌫️☀️ Light frost, some fog in low-lying areas in the morning, then sunshine-3 to 4°C / 9 to 11°CEasterly, gusts of 10 to 20 km/h
Saturday 7🌫️☁️ Fog when you wake up, then cloudier day, normally dry0 to 4°C / 8 to 10°CSoutherly, gusts of 15 to 20 km/h
🧥 Our tips for Wednesday:
  • Coat, hat and gloves when you wake up: only 3 to 5°C, with a touch of frost in the southern countryside
  • A few extra minutes to scrape the windscreen, especially between Entre-Sambre-et-Meuse and Famenne
  • You can leave your umbrella at home, it will be dry everywhere throughout the day
  • The best time for a walk: between 12:00 and 15:00, in the sunshine and sheltered from the wind
  • Remember to bring delicate plants indoors before the cold nights on Thursday and Friday
🔎 Forecast reliability:

Reliability is very good for Wednesday: the anticyclone guarantees dry and sunny weather. The main uncertainty concerns theintensity of frosts in early morning in the rural areas of the south, which will depend on the wind and low cloud on the Ardennes. Dry and sunny weather through to Friday is solid; the extent of fog on Friday and Saturday remains more uncertain.
