However, you'll wake to dense fog over the Ardennes, Gaume and Entre-Sambre-et-Meuse, sometimes with less than one kilometre of visibility until around 10:00. After that, expect bright sunshine across the country, with 14 to 15°C in the afternoon and not a drop of rain.

Under a clear sky, barely crossed by a few high clouds in Flanders, the air cools noticeably: 4 to 8°C in the plains, 1 to 3°C over the Ardennes. A light ground frost cannot be ruled out on the plateaus. Mist forms in the Ardennes valleys and in Gaume. No precipitation is expected.

At daybreak, banks of dense fog blanket the Ardennes, Gaume and Entre-Sambre-et-Meuse, from Chimay and Couvin to Bastogne and Virton. Visibility can drop below one kilometre. They lift gradually until around 10:00. Elsewhere, a few low clouds linger in Hainaut and West Flanders early in the morning, before the sun takes over.

The sun shines generously over most of the country, especially south of the Sambre-and-Meuse line and in Gaume. A few low clouds may still drift near the coast, and the peaks in the east keep some cloud. Temperatures reach 14 to 15°C in the plains and 11 to 13°C in the Ardennes, mild values for the season.

Patches of fog could form over the Campine and the High Fens when you wake up. Everywhere else, the sun would shine from the start, then across the whole country in the afternoon. It would be 11 to 15°C, with a light easterly wind.
Saturday 31 October: Halloween stays dry
After a cold night (2 to 7°C) and possible frost over the Ardennes highlands, the sun would shine over almost the whole country, with only a few low clouds in the Campine. It would be 10 to 13°C. For trick-or-treating, the evening looks dry but chilly : remember a warm layer under your costumes!
Sunday 1 November: grey skies for All Saints' Day
A weak north-easterly current would bring a thick layer of low cloud across almost the entire country, with no real clear spells. The Ardennes peaks would be shrouded in fog, and a little drizzle would be possible along the coast. It would be cooler: 7 to 12°C. For visits to the cemetery, dress warmly, but there should be little rain.
