Weather forecast for Saturday 31 October 2026
Forecast for all of Belgium · published Friday 30 October in the evening

Good news for Halloween: this Saturday 31 October, the weather will remain dry everywhere in Belgium. The sky, though, will be split in two: often grey in the north under persistent low cloud, with 9 to 10°C, and sunny in the south, from Hainaut to Gaume, with up to 13°C. Trick-or-treating will be dry, with 7 to 9°C.

⚡ The essentials in 30 seconds:
  • Night: cool, 4 to 7°C, 1 to 3°C in the Ardennes; ground frost possible on the heights
  • Morning: grey and misty on the coast, in Flanders and through to the centre, locally dense fog; clear skies in the south
  • Afternoon: often grey in the north (9 to 10°C), a few bright spells in Brussels, sunshine in the south (11 to 13°C)
  • Halloween (18:00-20:00): dry everywhere, 7 to 9°C
  • Rain: none
  • Wind: light from the north-east, gusts of 20 to 30 km/h

🎃 Saturday 31 October: a dry Halloween, grey in the north and sunny in the south

🌙 Tonight: cool, with mists on the plains

Under a starry sky at first, the temperature drops sharply: 4 to 7°C in the lowlands, 1 to 3°C in the Ardennes, where ground frost may whiten the high ground. Late in the night, humidity brings mist and patches of fog, especially in Flanders and central areas. The weather remains dry.

🌫️ Saturday morning: grey in the north, clear in the south

When you wake up, a grey and low cloud ceiling covers the coast and much of Flanders, extending to central areas and locally the west of Hainaut. Fog can be locally dense: take care on the roads. Further south, the sky is clear in fresh air.

☁️☀️ Saturday afternoon: Belgium split in two

In the north (coast, Flanders, the Campine, Limburg), the day is likely to remain often grey under low cloud, with only rare sunny spells and 9 to 10°C. The boundary will be decided by just a few kilometres, which remains tricky in the centre: in Brussels and at the centre's edge, a few sunny spells should appear. Further south, from Hainaut to the Ardennes and Gaume, sunshine will break through widely, with 11 to 13°C.

🍬 Saturday evening: trick or treating in the dry

For Halloween, between 18:00 and 20:00 and even beyond, it will be dry everywhere, with 7 to 9°C. Low cloud will return first over the north, then spread south as the evening goes on. Remember to wear a warm layer under your costumes!

💨 The wind

A light north-easterly wind is blowing across the country, with gusts of 20 to 30 km/h.

📅 What's next? A cloudy All Saints' Day, then cold weather

Sunday 1st November (All Saints' Day): cloudier, dry

The day would be cloudier with low cloud cover, across most of the country, but dry. In the morning, a dense fog would form inEntre-Sambre-et-Meuse, Condroz and over the High Fens. It would be 8 to 12°C. For visits to the cemetery, warm clothing will suffice.

Monday 2nd November: light rain, then colder

Some light rain would move across the north and centre in the morning (0.5 to 2 mm, a little more at the coast). The wind would turn to the north, with gusts of up to 45 km/h at the coast, and the air would become colder as the day goes on: 7 to 13°C.

Tuesday 3rd November: sunny and cold air

The sun would return widely, in cold air: 4 to 11°C. The north-easterly wind would be noticeable, with gusts of 40 to 50 km/h, and temperatures would approach 0°C at night in the Ardennes. Light frosts in lowland areas would be possible from Wednesday-Thursday onwards, to be confirmed.

DayWeatherTemperatures (min / max)Wind
Sunday 1st☁️ Cloudier in the lower layers, dry2 to 7°C / 8 to 12°CNorth-east, gusts of 20 to 25 km/h
Monday 2🌦️ Light rain in the morning north and centre, then colder3 to 9°C / 7 to 13°CNorth, gusts of 30 to 40 km/h, 45 on the coast
Tuesday 3☀️ Return of the sun in cold air1 to 8°C / 4 to 11°CNorth-east, gusts of 40 to 50 km/h
🎃 Our tips for Saturday:
  • Take care in the morning fog on the coast and in Flanders, and more locally in the centre and west
  • For Halloween: wear a warm costume, but you won't need an umbrella
  • Fancy some sunshine? Head south, from Hainaut to the Ardennes
  • Sunday morning, take care in fog in the south of the country
🔎 Forecast reliability:

Saturday's dry weather is certain. The boundary between the grey skies in the north and sunshine in the south is however tricky to pinpoint : it will come down to a matter of just a few kilometres, especially in the centre, Brussels and western Hainaut. Monday morning's light rain is well confirmed; the return of cold weather and frosts mid-week still needs to be clarified.
