For the Halloween weekend, the weather will be mixed: grey skies in the north and centre on Saturday, but sunshine in the south.

Beneath a starry sky, the cold is felt everywhere: 4 to 8°C on the plains and 1 to 4°C in the Ardennes. In the eastern cantons, a slight ground frost is possible. A few low clouds may skirt the coast, and mist forms in the Campine. No rain is expected.

Banks of fog, sometimes thick, form at dawn in the Campine, in the Ghent region, locally in the Meuse valley and over the High Fens. Take it easy on these roads while visibility remains poor: the fog clears around 10:00. Everywhere else, the weather is fine very early on, with a crisp chill in the air.

A bright sun dominates from the Coast to Gaume. It is 13 to 15°C in the plains, up to 15°C in western Hainaut and towards Liège, and 10 to 12°C in the Ardennes. Only the highest peaks in the east may keep some cloud cover. Ideal conditions for a walk or to dry your washing.

📅 Halloween weekend: grey in the north, sunshine in the south
Saturday 31 October (Halloween): two Belgiums
The country would be split in two. In the north and centre (Flanders, Brussels, Walloon Brabant, Hainaut, Entre-Sambre-et-Meuse), thick fog would form when you wake up, then give way to persistent low cloud that would struggle to break up, with 9 to 11°C. In the south, meanwhile, the Condroz, Famenne, the Ardennes and Gaume would enjoy beautiful sunshine from the early hours, with 12 to 13°C. For trick-or-treating, the evening would stay dry everywhere, but cool: a warm layer under your costumes will be welcome.
Sunday 1 November (All Saints' Day): greyness spreads across almost the whole country
A layer of low cloud would extend this time over almost all of Belgium, from the coast to Entre-Sambre-et-Meuse. The High Fens would be in fog. Only Gaume and a few areas of Hesbaye and Limburg could see some clear spells. It would be 8 to 12°C, with no rain: for visits to the cemetery, warm clothing will be enough.
Monday 2 November: a few drops and colder air
A few drops could fall at times in Flanders, Hainaut and Liège province, with no significant impact (0 to 2 mm). The wind would turn to the north and strengthen, with gusts of 30 to 40 km/h, up to 45 km/h at the coast, and the air would become cooler: 6 to 12°C. Sunshine would return from Tuesday onwards, with night-time frosts becoming increasingly widespread.
